A total of 273 urban rail transit lines opened in 51 cities in China in March

According to data from the Ministry of Transport, in March, a total of 51 cities in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps opened and operated 273 urban rail transit lines, with an operating mileage of 8,837 kilometers and 2.77 million trains actually operated. The passenger volume was 1.60 billion, and the inbound volume was 970 million. In March, 1 new operating line of Guangzhou Metro Line 22 (the first section) was added, with an operating mileage of 18.2 kilometers; the passenger traffic in 51 cities increased by 40 million person-times or 2.6% month-on-month, a decrease of 570 million person-times compared to March last year, Down 26.3%.

In accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, some cities have suspended the entire rail transit network, some line sections or station operation services to varying degrees. Among them, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Shenyang, Changchun, Wuxi, Xuzhou and other cities have suspended network operations; some lines in Shanghai, Nanjing, Dalian and other cities have been suspended; some stations in Hangzhou, Nanchang, Qingdao, Changzhou and other cities have suspended operations. As of the end of March, Shenyang, Changchun, Wuxi, Xuzhou and other places have not yet resumed urban rail transit operation services.
