The locomotive mainly works on the power battery, and the diesel generator set assists the power battery to charge at the best economic speed. The power system realizes the role of “battery” and “diesel engine”. This “extended program” power system can make the diesel engine only need to start 3 to 4 times a day, and only run for 30 minutes each time, compared with traditional internal combustion shunting. The running time of locomotives and diesel engines has been greatly reduced, from 24 hours a day to only 2 hours a day. It is expected to save up to 33.9% of fuel, 44% of nitrogen oxides, 81.1% of carbon monoxide and 81.1% of hydrocarbons. Ranked 72.5%.

The power battery and diesel generator set can generate power at the same time to meet the short-term high-power traction needs of the locomotive.

When the locomotive needs strong power, the locomotive uses the hybrid traction control system to make the power battery and the diesel generator set to output power together, so that the maximum operating power reaches 2200 kW, realizing the true hybrid power.

The locomotive is completely modular in design. The whole locomotive consists of 12 system-level modules and four major components: traction ventilation units, air compressors, resistance braking, and smoke exhaust and muffler units. The production and assembly are more lean, the operation and maintenance are more convenient, and expansion and upgrades are possible. more feasible.

According to the technical platform plan, the power battery system is compatible with two types of batteries, lithium titanate and lithium iron phosphate, and the traction drive system is compatible with two control modes: frame control and axle control. Different battery types and different traction drive control can be realized through independent modules with unified interfaces. System conversion.

The locomotive carries out multi-dimensional safety protection for the power battery from the five levels of single battery, battery pack, battery subsystem, battery device and the whole vehicle. The power battery system can reach SIL4 safety level, reaching the international leading level. At the same time, the locomotive adopts measures such as energy splitting, heat insulation design, anti-short circuit design, data monitoring, hardware redundancy protection, fire prevention and control, isolation and interlocking of high-voltage devices, and anti-collision and anti-climbing design to improve the safety and reliability of the locomotive.

The locomotive has added a power battery, and the cost of the new vehicle has increased. However, because the diesel engine is charged at a constant and the most economical speed, the fuel consumption is reduced; at the same time, due to the short working time of the diesel engine, the maintenance cycle of the diesel engine and its supporting system is prolonged, and the maintenance cost is reduced, so the locomotive life cycle cost is lower, economic and social benefits. Equally significant.

The locomotive adopts an independent suspended cab, and the diesel engine, resistance brake, cooling fan and other components are arranged at the end away from the cab to reduce the vibration and noise inside the cab. When working in power battery mode, the maximum noise does not exceed 60 decibels.

At the same time, the observation window is enlarged and the observation glass at the lower part of the entrance door is added to increase the effective field of view by 35%. The driver’s cab is equipped with high-power heating and cooling air conditioners, dimming lights, fans, microwave ovens, refrigerators and other living facilities to make the driving experience better.
